JROL’s mission statement is, “Being Christ in Community”. As such, we place great value on finding ways to serve our community, both local and abroad.

We have teams that do work projects for local families in need, we work with Camp Dodge to support and serve military families and vets, and we support other groups such as Habitat for Humanity, the Johnston Partnership, schools, and local police and fire.

Our missions committee works in conjunction with the UMC Committee on Relief and local disaster organizations. We frequently host mission trips to help with recovery from tornadoes, hurricanes, flood, and fire.

We have also built a long term relationship with a ministry in Azacualpa, Honduras. We work with Dilia and a local school to care for families, build homes, provide food, clothing, education, and other basic resources.
